Mitrovica's female footballers have big goals in Budapest

Mitrovica's female footballers promise maximum commitment for the next Champions League qualifying match.

Seven-time champion and seven-time winner of the Kosovo Cup, Mitrovica, will play against Norwegian Brann in the semifinals of the second qualifying round, on Wednesday at 10:00. 

The mini-tournament takes place in Budapest. The winner of this match will play the winner of the Ferencvaros – PAOK match in the final on Saturday. 

On Saturday, in addition to the final, the third-place match will also be played.

If they win the tournament in Budapest, Mitrovica will advance to the third and final qualifying round before the league stage. The third qualifying round is played against one opponent, over two matches. 
The teams that finish second and third in the second qualifying round of the Champions League are promoted to the European Cup.

Mitrovica are confident that they will qualify for the final.

"We don't know the opponent well and we have never faced them in the past. But we have tried to analyze the opponent through recordings, to see their strengths and weaknesses. We have prepared maximally for this match, but it is known that there are no easy matches in the Champions League. Regardless of the opponent, we will enter the game for a positive result. But we will see what the match will bring, because it does not always go the way we want. We will give everything of ourselves to represent Mitrovica and all of Kosovo as best as possible", said experienced footballer, Edona Kryeziu.

Mitrovica advanced to the second qualifying round after excelling in Kosovo, with victories of 10:0 and 2:0, respectively.

In the semi-finals of the first qualifying round, Mitrovica won 10:0 against Zimbru Chisinau of Moldova. In the final of the first qualifying round, Mitrovica's players defeated the Bulgarian champion, Ludogorets Razgrad, with a score of 2:0. 

Kryeziu scored four goals in the 10:0 victory. Aurora Mulliqi also shone with three goals in the first match and one in the second match against the Bulgarian champion.

Kryeziu doesn't know if she will have the chance to score more goals for her team. But for her and the other Mitrovica players, the important thing is the victory.

"It will depend on the course of the game, and that's how we will approach the game. We will be careful until we see what game the opposing team will apply. But we will never play defensively, as our goal is a positive result," Kryeziu emphasized.
