Kosovo National Team coach Franco Foda has spoken about the absence of striker Vedat Muriqi in the two friendly matches, announcing that the footballer has decided to rest after a long season with Mallorca.
At the press conference, Foda said that he has been in constant contact with Muriqi and that the decision to take a break was made after numerous commitments during the season.
"I had contact with Vedat Muriqi 10 days ago for the last time. We had some contacts together. He has played many matches for Mallorca. He has played all the matches. He has had a long season," Foda declared.
According to him, Muriqi will return to the Kosovo National Team after the summer and will be available again from September.
"Vedat will return to the national team after this summer, in September, and support the national team," added the German coach.
