Florentino Perez will remain president of Real Madrid, according to a survey by Marca, AS and La Sexta, powerful media outlets in Spain and close to the royal club.
According to them, 79-year-old Perez, who has been at the helm of Real Madrid for the past 17 years, defeated the other candidate, Enrique Riquelme, on Sunday. According to Spanish media, Perez received 66 percent of the vote, while Riquelme won 33 percent. Riquelme is 37 years old.

This is Perez's third election victory, after those in 2000 and 2004, when he defeated Lorenzo Sanz on both occasions.
Perez has confirmed that during the new term, Jose Mourinho will be the team's coach, while Ibrahima Konate and Denzel Dumfries will be presented this week at "Valdebebas", Real Madrid's training center.
