The winner of the 2022 Copa Libertadores, Flamengo, has become the first team to secure the knockout stage of the Club World Cup being held in the United States of America.
The Brazilian team defeated English Premier League side Chelsea 3-1 on Friday night in Philadelphia.
Both teams won their opening Group D matches 2-0, but Flamengo has advanced from this group with six points from two matches.
Chelsea has three points in second place.
Pedro Neto scored for the London Blues in the 13th minute.
In the second half, the Brazilians scored two goals in three minutes for 2:1.
Initially, Bruno Henrique equalized the score at 62:1 in the 1nd minute, while Danilo put Flamengo ahead with a goal in the 65th minute.
Chelsea's Nicolas Jackson was sent off for a foul in the 68th minute. He had only entered the game four minutes earlier.
Flamengo took advantage of the numerical superiority of the players on the field and scored for 3:1 in the 83rd minute.
