FIFA confirms the organizers of the 2030 and 2034 World Cups

Officially, Saudi Arabia hosts the 2034 World Cup

FIFA has confirmed the organizers of the soccer World Cup for 2030 and 2034. 

In the extraordinary Congress held on Wednesday in Qatar, three continents and six countries have been chosen as organizers of the 2030 and 2034 World Cups. 

Morocco, Spain and Portugal will host the global event in six years, with Saudi Arabia next in 2034. 

The competition for the organization of the World Cup was opened in October of last year, while the decision was taken on Wednesday in the extraordinary Congress, although it has been evaluated only as a formality.

The hosts of the world tournaments were chosen by acclamation and no official vote was required, as the 211 members of FIFA, the votes had been completed before the Congress. 

Saudi Arabia will be the second Middle Eastern country to host the tournament in 2034, 12 years after neighbor Qatar hosted the event in 2022.
