Kosovar midfielder Lindon Emërllahu has given his first statement after transferring from the Balkans to Romanian Cluj.
Emërllahu was presented to the Romanian club on Tuesday, while it was reported that Balkan has benefited 700 thousand euros from his sale. He was declared the best player in Kosovo for 2024. He has excelled with Balkan for many years and now he has taken the next step in his career.
Like many others before him, Emërllahu decided for the Romanian championship.
"I am happy to be here, in a great club like CFR Cluj, which is at the top of the table year after year. I have followed the team this season and I want us to have good moments together. I will give everything for the team, for the fans and for these colors so that we can succeed in being champions again", said Emërllahu.
CFR Cluj was runner-up in Romania last season. It has eight Romanian championship titles. It won its first title in 2008, and was the regular champion from 2018 to 2022. Meriton Korenica is also part of Cluj.

Cluj is currently the leader in the Romanian championship. It has 46 points, the same as FCSB. Three other teams have 45 points each.
In Cluj, they expect a lot from Emërllahu, who is now regularly invited from Kosovo.
