Biel has made history in Swiss football. It has become the first third-tier team to qualify for the Swiss Cup final.

Biel defeated the reigning Swiss champion, Young Boys, 1:0 in the semifinals.

The match was decided after two 15-minute overtime periods. The goal was scored from a controversial penalty kick.

While Biel had a big celebration after the match, Young Boys criticized the referees for the loss.

Even the fans took the defeat very seriously and blamed the players for it. Kastriot Imeri played from the 74th minute for Young Boys. But he was immediately sent off in the 77th minute for an illegal tackle as the last player.
