The Netherlands is the latest country to have a football match abandoned due to fan violence.
It is about the match NAC Breda – Heerenven, which belonged to the 33rd round of the Dutch elite. On two occasions, pyrotechnic devices were thrown onto the field. And the referee in both cases sent the players to the locker rooms. But after the second interruption, the referee decided not to continue the match.
NAC Breda is relegated from the Dutch top flight. The team was leading 2-0 when the match was stopped in the second half.
