Drita has defended its title in the Kosovo Super League in football.
On Saturday, on the synthetic grass pitch in Gjilan, Drita won 2:0 against Balkan and secured the fifth title in the club's history, three rounds before the championship ended. The winning goals were scored by Besnik Krasniqi and Abdoul Karim Dante.
Balkan was in a strong competition with Drita until a few rounds ago. But, the defeat in the previous round from Llapi to Suhareka and Drita's victory over Prishtina e Re made a big difference.
Drita won the title with 66 points, 11 more than second-place Balkan.
Drita won its first title in the 2002/03 season. It then triumphed in the 2017/18, 2019/20 and 2024/25 seasons.
Coach Zekirija Ramadani also won his fifth Kosovo Super League title. He previously triumphed with Trepça '89, Feronikeli, Prishtina and twice with Drita.
Drita and Balkan have dominated the last five seasons in the Kosovo football elite.

The team from Suharekë won the Kosovo Super League title three times in a row, in the 2021/22, 2022/23 and 2023/24 editions. Later, Drita also won two titles in a row.
Drita will compete in the first qualifying round of the Champions League as champions.
As champions, they began their journey at this stage of the competition last season. And they went all the way to the knockout stage of the Conference League when they were eliminated by Slovenian Celje.
