Mirlind Daku has given a long interview for the official website of Spartak Moscow. Daku was introduced to the big Russian club on Thursday, while Spartak later published the interview.
The last question for the striker was "what would he say to Spartak fans?".
"I would ask that they not judge me for how I was at Rubin. I understand that I may have seemed very arrogant and aggressive. Believe me, from the first minute at Spartak I will give everything I have to make you happy, to celebrate victories with the team and not worry about anything else," said Daku.
Spartak fans have opposed Daku's transfer. They are known as pro-Serbs.
Daku said that the move from Rubin Kazan to Spartak is a big step in his career. He said that the decision was easy and that in Russia he only wanted to transfer to Spartak, which according to the striker is the biggest club in this country. Daku was impressed by the size of Spartak as a club.
Daku's goal is clear – to help Spartak regain the Russian title after a long time.
