Albanian national team player Mirlind Daku has admitted that his idol is Bulgarian legend Dimitar Berbatov. The 27-year-old footballer, who plays for Russian club Rubin Kazan, met Berbatov during a winter camp in Turkey.
Daku admits that the former Bulgaria striker has not recognized him. But he expects the former Bayer Leverkusen, Tottenham, Manchester United, Fulham, Monaco striker to recognize him in the future.
"Yes, maybe he doesn't know me. Berbatov probably watches a lot of football and studies a lot of players. It must be hard for him to remember everyone. I hope that after this meeting he will already know me. It was really nice to talk to him, especially since I am a Manchester United fan. I have been following their matches since childhood and I have followed Berbatov's performances. So it was a real pleasure to meet him in person," Daku told "Match Premier".
Daku is currently training with Rubin Kazan in Turkey. In 17 matches in the current edition of the Russian football elite, Daku has scored nine goals and contributed five assists.
