Heavy defeat for City in the Champions League

Manchester City suffered their second consecutive defeat. After losing 2-0 to Manchester United in the derby at the weekend, Manchester City were stunned in the Champions League. They suffered a heavy defeat at the hands of Norwegian side Bodo/Glimt. City lost 3-1 on Tuesday in the seventh round of the Champions League.

City conceded two goals in the first half and another in the second half for a 3-1 defeat.

Kasper Hogh scored the first two goals. He scored the first goal in the 22nd minute, and the second in the 24th minute. The first half ended with the score 2:0.

The Norwegians started the second half furiously. After a goal was disallowed, they scored again in the 58th minute to make it 3:0.

 Jens Hauge scored the third goal for Bodo/Glimt, while the only goal for City, managed by Pep Guardiola, was scored by Rayan Cherki in the 60th minute.

Things got even more difficult for City when midfielder Rodri was sent off in the 62nd minute after receiving his second yellow card. The Spaniard had received his first one a minute earlier.

City's final match in the Champions League group stage is at home against Turkish giants Galatasaray.

City has won 13 points from seven matches, while Bodo/Glimt has six points.


Drama in Norway, two goals and a red card

Two quick goals were scored in the Bodo/Glimt – Manchester City match.

Initially, in the 58th minute, the Norwegian team scored the goal for 3:0, while two minutes later, Rayan Cherki narrowed the Norwegians' lead to 3:1.

City were then left with one less player on the pitch. Rodri was sent off in the 62nd minute.

He received the first yellow card a minute earlier.
