The "Zahir Pajaziti" Stadium in Podujevo will be the "arena" for the Champions League matches.
It is the first qualifying round of the Champions League for women. The Kosovo champion, Mitrovica, is organizing the two matches of the first qualifying round of the Champions League in Podujeva.
The first match is on Wednesday at 16:00. The Mitrovica team faces Cliftonville from Northern Ireland. The match is the semi-final of the mini-tournament of the first qualifying round. The team that scores the victory will play in the mini-tournament final on Saturday with Lanchkhuti, the champion of Georgia.
The winner of Saturday's match qualifies for the second qualifying round.
The Women's Championship has a new format starting this year. After three qualifying rounds, there is a six-round league stage. Then the knockout stage begins.
"The team is ready for the important challenges of the UEFA Women's Champions League. This year we have the honor and excitement to organize the sixth tournament of the first qualifying round in Kosovo. We invite all fans to be with us, to support us and to create an extraordinary atmosphere together," wrote KFF Mitrovica.

KFF Mitrovica has made numerous reinforcements during the summer. Recently, for the Champions League matches, it hired Diellza Mehmeti and Alba Shabani, players from Prishtina. It has also hired Esmeralda Franjë, Rrezona Ramadani, Shkurte Llumnica, Edona Kryeziu, Carol Valle, Isabelle Bernieri, Vanesa Nushi, Shenarta Bella and Eljesa Brajshori. The new coach of KFF Mitrovica is the well-known technician from the city of miners, Shpëtim Idrizi.
Mitrovica has five years of experience in the Champions League. Their greatest success came in the 2019/2020 edition, when they qualified for the round of 1. In their other four appearances, they have not made it past the qualifying round.
KFF Mitrovica plays as a home team in Podujeva due to the renovation of the “Adem Jashari” stadium. Almost all international Kosovo football matches are played at “Fadil Vokrri” in Prishtina. But Drita plays in this stadium on Tuesdays, while Prishtina plays on Thursdays. So KFF Mitrovica organizes the Champions League tournament in Podujeva. In the past, international matches of young age groups have been played at “Zahir Pajaziti”.
