Bodo/Glimt was one of the biggest surprises in the Champions League last season, when it advanced to the round of 16.
The Norwegian team has taken a big step towards advancing to the league stage, and is aiming for further good performances in Europe's elite club competition.
Bodo/Glimt won away to Nijmegen in the Netherlands on Wednesday night, 3:1. It was the first match of the Champions League playoff.
Sondre Fet, Andreas Helmersen and Haitam Aleesami scored the winning goals for the guests, while Clement Bischoff scored the only goal for Nijmegen.
The return leg will be played in Norway next midweek.
