The Barcelona team has announced the successful operation of midfielder Marc Bernal. The 17-year-old underwent surgery after suffering a serious injury to his left knee in Barcelona's win over Rayo Vallecano in the third round of La Liga.
He is expected to miss Barca for a year.
"Footballer Marc Bernal has undergone a successful surgical intervention on the knee of his left leg. The recovery period is expected to be 12 months", announced the Spanish giant.
Bernal was a starter in the first three games of the 2024/2025 edition in La Liga.
He developed as a footballer in Barcelona's academy.
