Bayern advances to the third round of the German Cup

With two goals by Thomas Mueller and another scored by Kingsley Coman and Harry Kane, Bayern Munich advanced to the third round of the German Cup. 

Bayern kicked off the new German football campaign on Friday night with a 4-0 away win at Bundesliga 2 side Ulm. 

Mueller scored in the 12th and 15th minutes, while Coman scored the third goal in the match in the 79th minute. Coman scored with an assist from new signing Michael Olise. The final score was decided by Harry Kane, in the third minute of extra time. 

Joao Palhinha also made his debut for the Bavarians, while the 18-year-old Australian Nestory Irankunda was on the reserve bench. 

It was Bayern's first game under coach Vincent Kompany.
