Aurora Muliqi is shining for the Mitrovica football team. At the age of 18, Aurora already has seven goals in five appearances in the qualifying rounds of the Women's Champions League. She made her debut last year with a goal.
The two goals against Ferencvaros on Saturday were especially important for Muliqi and Mitrovica. The Kosovar champion, with a 2:1 victory, secured passage to the “Europa Cup”, the second tier of continental club competitions.
"I am very happy. It was a very important match for us and I am happy that with two goals I helped the team win and qualify further. The credit goes to the entire team. We fought together," Muliqi told KOHĪN on Sunday.
She scored two beautiful goals to keep Mitrovica in Europe.

Mitrovica's female footballers have big goals in Budapest
In the first qualifying round of the Champions League, the Mitrovica team defeated Zimbru Chisinau with a score of 10:0 in the semi-finals and Ludogorets 2:0 in the final. In the semi-finals of the second qualifying round of the Champions League, Mitrovica was defeated 5:0 by the Norwegian champion, Brann.
Aware of Branni's level, Mitrovica's goal from the beginning was to advance to the "Europa Cup". For this, they needed a victory over Ferencvaros, which was achieved with two goals from the great football talent.
"Every goal was special for me, especially in such a big competition as the Champions League. This gives me even more motivation to continue with even greater work," said Muliqi.
Until last year, the Champions League was the only continental competition for football clubs. But UEFA added the "Europa Cup" as a second-tier competition. The draw for the first qualifying round will be made on Tuesday.
Muliqi said that Mitrovica's goal is to go as far as possible.
"We will give our best in every match and I believe that as a team we can put in very good performances," she says.
Muliqi joined Mitrovica in January 2025. She is from Podujevo, and started her career in Llapi. After moving to Mitrovica, she has grown significantly as a player. She was declared the best female footballer in Kosovo for 2025. She has already made her debut in Kosovo A, while also playing for the younger age groups. She has five appearances in competitive matches with the adult national team.

The brilliance in the Champions League is expected to have an impact on Aurora's international career, namely to "reserve" even more minutes for her.
"For the second time I played in the Champions League. This time too, the experience was very special for me. I had the opportunity to face strong opponents. I learned a lot from these matches. I believe that this experience will help me a lot in continuing my career," says Muliqi.
She is proud that at a young age she is writing history with Mitrovica.
"It's special for me, especially at this age. But I also see success as motivation to work harder, to achieve even greater things with Mitrovica."
Aurora says she has always loved football and that is why she was committed to a career in the most popular sport. An additional motivation was the award for the best female footballer of the year in Kosovo.

"My goal is to continue to develop, to work every day and to reach the highest possible level. I want to have a successful career, to play at the highest levels and always give my best for the club and the national team," says the talented footballer.
She initially played as a defender in the national teams. Mitrovica also initially introduced her as a defender. But in this team from the beginning she has played in the center of attack. And on the biggest European stage she has proven that she also has a place in the attack.
