Atletico Madrid have completed the transfer of centre-back Cristian Romero, who has been transferred from Tottenham.
The winner of the World Cup with Argentina in 2022 and the finalist of this year's World Cup, 28-year-old Romero, has signed a contract until 2031.
He also had success with Tottenham last year, winning the Europa League, but is leaving for Madrid after five seasons in London.
Romero's transfer has been completed for 40 million euros.
Romero has also played for Club Atletico Belgrano, Genoa and Atalanta.
In the 2020/21 edition, Romero was named the best defender in Serie A.
