Asllani talks about the difference between Chivu and Inzaghi

Kristjan ASllani

Inter and Albania midfielder Kristjan Asllani has said that coaches Cristian Chivu and Simone Inzaghi are not much different in the work they do and the way they lead the game.

Asllani spoke to "SportItalia" after Inter's 1:1 draw against Monterrey, in the first match of the Club World Cup.

For Chivu it was his debut in charge of the "nerazzurra" team.

"We had some positive moments, but unfortunately we conceded a goal in stoppage time. We need to improve, but there were positive things. We wanted to start the competition with full points, but now we have to think about the next match," Asllani declared.

Asllani was a starter and played until the 68th minute in the match against the Mexican team.

The 23-year-old also played under coach Inzaghi. In the season that ended, he played in 36 matches, contributing three goals and two assists.

"There is not much difference between Chvius and Inzaghi. We have played with the same system in recent years. Chivu has asked us for more pressure and we applied this well. We need to improve on the interceptions. We can also play with the 3-4-2-1 formation, as we did in some matches last season. We need to adapt to the coach's demands, improve and continue playing", declared Asllani.

Inter will play their next match in the Club World Cup on June 21 against Urawa Reds.
Also in Group E is River Plate, which has three points from the first match. Urawa is last with no points.
