Arlind Ajeti is one of the few players who will appear for the second time in the European Championship with the Albanian jersey. The defender of the center, Ajeti, says that he had hopes that he would be among the players who will represent Albania in the European Championship held in Germany. But he and the other players learned through television that they will be part of Albania for "Euro 2024".
Sylvinho decided to release the preliminary list of 27 players on Monday afternoon via a press conference. I will submit the final list of 26 players on June 7. Most likely, Ajeti will also be on the final list.
"The hopes have always been to be part of the list, but we did not know the coach's decisions until the moment of the conference when the list was published. I experienced a special emotion when I saw my name on the list. It's always special when the national team calls you," Ajeti told KOHE on Tuesday.
Ajeti played two matches in "Euro 2016". In the absence of the former captain of Albania, Lorik Cana due to suspension, Ajeti appeared until the 85th minute alongside Mergim Mavraj in the center of defense in the match against France. "I experienced these emotions once and it will be a pleasure to experience them again. But when we get closer to the first match, we will feel the emotions even more", said the central defender.
The footballer from Cluj, Romania, made his debut for the Reds and Blacks in 2014. He played 23 matches for Albania, scoring one goal.
"For me, but also for every player, it is certainly very important to appear in the European Championship. It's every player's dream. It's something very special for me, but also for every other player. I believe that we will experience the real emotions at the moment when the major event will begin", said Ajeti.
Ajeti believes that in Germany, Albania will be stronger than in France. The Reds are in a group with Spain, Croatia and Italy.

"We have opportunities even though it is a very difficult group. I believe that we have the opportunity to do something big. I don't believe that it will be easier, but I believe that the support of the Albanians will be a great motivation for us", declared Ajeti.
