Midfielder Ardon Jashari will leave Luzern at the end of the season. He will be transferred to Club Brugge in Belgium. The transfer has now been completed, Luzern announced on Wednesday.

Jashari was at Luzern since the age of 11, while he has spent all age groups at this club. At the age of 17, he played with the Luzern U21 team and became captain. He debuted early in the Superligë, while he has been the captain of Luzern for some time, although he is only 21 years old.

He had earlier asked to leave the team, but Luzern did not allow him to do so. He was out of the team for a while, but he came back and continued with good performances. It was only a matter of time before he left Luzern for a bigger club.

"What Ardoni has achieved during his time with us deserves great respect," said Luzern's sports director, Remo Meyer.

"Although his absence will be noticed in future editions, we are happy that Ardoni took the next step in his career. Luzern is proud to have been involved in the development of this player", he added.

Club Brugge is one of the biggest clubs in Belgium. It has won the title of champion 18 times, most recently in 2022.

He has won the cup 11 times, which is a record.

Jashari signed a contract with Bruggen valid until 2028. There were reports that Jashari was transferred for 6 million euros.
