Ademi confirms that Kosovo can play with Andorra

Kosova

The President of the Kosovo Football Federation, Agim Ademi, confirmed on Thursday to KOMA that Andorra could be one of the representatives that will play against Kosovo in the June friendlies.
Kosovo and Andorra are expected to play on the evening of June 7, at the "Fadil Vokrri" stadium.
Early elections will be held in Kosovo on June 7, but this will not prevent the "Dardans" friendly match.

"We have not fully confirmed it, but we are in contact with officials from the Andorran Football Federation. I believe that it could also be one of the opponents in the friendly matches. There is no need to change the date if we play on June 7, because we have separate FIFA dates and there is no need because the elections will end when the match starts", declared Agim Ademi.

The head of the FFK added that they are in talks with 5-6 other representatives for friendly matches, but did not mention who Kosovo's next opponent could be. He added that everything will be finalized on Friday or early next week.

"We have 5-6 national teams that we have selected. There are 5-6 national teams that are interested, that want to play a friendly game, but we have not yet scheduled it. Tomorrow or Monday at the latest, they will be made official," emphasized the FFK president.

Kosovo was on the verge of qualifying for the 2026 World Cup in March. It won the playoff semi-final against Slovakia 4:3 in Bratislava on March 26, but was defeated on March 31 by Turkey in Pristina, 1:0.
After the June friendlies, Kosovo begins the match cycle of the new edition of the Nations League in September.

Kosovo, led by coach Franco Foda, was promoted for the first time to League B of the Nations League and is in a group with Austria, Ireland and Israel.
The first match will be played on September 24 at home against Ireland.
