Argentina football coach Lionel Scaloni said he will look for a new way of playing after Lionel Messi's retirement.
He said he will conduct tactical experiments in friendly matches.
Argentina's first test of the post-Messi era begins on Thursday against Bolivia.
"We will find a way to play differently. That's the reason for these matches, to experiment. However, our basic style still revolves around ball control. From there we will see how we adapt," Scaloni said at a press conference.
Messi is Argentina's all-time top scorer with 125 goals.
Messi announced his retirement from Argentina at the end of August and will play the farewell match against Benin at the Monumental Stadium next week.

The number 10 shirt will remain unused until Messi's farewell match.
Scaloni said they have not yet decided who will be given the number 10 shirt after Messi plays his farewell match.
