The midfielder of Mainz, Kaishu Sano, has been arrested in Japan for a suspected sexual assault, various media in Japan report, writes "Blick" on Wednesday.
"The reason for the arrest is said to be the sexual assault on a woman after dinner in Tokyo. The police do not provide any information about the case. Even the new club, Mainz, has remained silent so far," writes the Swiss newspaper.
The Japanese footballer was transferred for 2.5 million euros to the Bundesliga team. He must appear on July 21 at the Mainz club. But this is unlikely to happen after the arrest.
