Roma exercises Angelino's purchase option

Euro 2024

Roma have activated the option for the transfer of Angelino from Leipzig for 5 million euros, despite the interest of Bournemouth of the Premier League for the Spaniard.

"La Gazzetta dello Sport" wrote on Thursday that Roma has officially made the request to the Bundesliga team.

It is written there that Rome is ready to pay Angelino's release clause.

Angelino initially joined the Giallorossi on loan in January, while he will remain at Olimpico until 2028.

Angelino also made a career on loan at Galatasaray and Hoffenheim. Meanwhile, he was also a member of Manchester City, New York City, Girona, Mallorca, NAC Breda and PSV Eindhoven.

Another Roma defender, Leonardo Spinazzola, is expected to leave the team at the end of next month, when his contract expires.
