The selector of Kosovo, Franco Foda, expressed himself quite optimistic for victory in the friendly match against Norway on June 5 in Oslo.

At the press conference on Thursday, Foda said that the team is maximally motivated to win against the Nordic team. He added that during this period they wanted to play two matches, but for various reasons this was not possible.

Kosovo had planned to play a friendly with Bahrain in June, but the Asian country withdrew.

"The match against Norway is a good preparation for the Nations League matches that await us. We have a good team, a balanced team, we are highly motivated to win against Norway. It is the last match to see some impressions from the players before the League of Nations matches", he said.

The Austrian coach announced that of the invited players, only the goalkeeper Arijanet Muriq did not make it to training.

"Muriq is sick. In these two days, I will know exactly if he will be ready", Foda declared.

Due to health reasons or injuries, Foda has said that he has not been able to collect some players, such as Milot Rashica, Florent Muslija, Donat Rrudhani and Ismajl Beka. Rashica, as the coach said, had an operation on his arm.

In the list, as Foda announced, there were also Ismet Lushaku and Kreshnik Krasniqi, who were not released by their clubs, Sweden and Norway respectively, where the regular championship is being played. Invited to what he called the "extensive list", the 58-year-old also mentioned the name of Emir Sahit.

The coach of Kosovo has revealed that Donis Avdijajn, who plays for Hartberg, has not invited him because there are some disagreements between him and the Football Federation (FFK). He said that after the match with Norway he will think about this situation.

"I know Avdijaj earlier, in the Swiss teams. There have been some disagreements with the Federation and until we clarify them it will remain so. I cannot answer [what dispute] because it happened before I came. After this period, we will have enough time to think about this situation", said Foda.
