Man. United ends the weakest season in the Premier League

Manchester United

Rasmus Hojlund and Diogo Dalot helped Manchester United win the final game of English football's elite away to Brighton.

But despite the victory, United ended the campaign the weakest in the English elite.

The team led by coach Erik ten Hag finished in eighth place, which is the lowest place since the 1989/90 season.

United ends the edition with 60 points in eighth place, as much as Newcastle had in seventh position.

Brighton finish in 11th place with 48 points.

Manchester United entered this match aware that they need a better result than Newcastle to guarantee a place that sends them to UEFA competitions next season.

But, Newcastle won 4:2 against Brentford.

Thus, United will need to triumph in the final of the FA Cup next Saturday, to secure their place in the Europa League.
