It is estimated that Vedat Muriqi has had a successful career so far in football. But no trophy. And on Saturday night, the leader of the representative of Kosovo has a golden opportunity. It can be done with the first serious trophy in the career and the very big one.

The 29-year-old will lead Mallorca's attack in the Copa del Rey final.

Muriqi from Prizren has played in Kosovo, Albania, Turkey and Italy but so far he has not had the opportunity to win a serious trophy.

He can win one with Mallorca on Saturday from 22:00, in the final against Athletic Bilbao. The final of the Spanish Cup takes place at the "La Cartuja" stadium in Sevilla.

In a long interview given to the medium "Cadena SER", Muriqi said that he and his teammates will work only in the mental aspect, because in the physical aspect they are very good.

"I don't think we need work in the physical aspect. Mentally, we are doing great work. These are important matches and you have to be prepared for what can happen. All players dream of winning the final. Physically we are not doing anything special, but mentally we are preparing differently. I have experienced it and know how to deal with it. I will experience it as a normal day. Everyone should prepare themselves, this does not depend on the coach", said Muriqi.

Mallorca have had some dramatic moments along the way to the final.

Won against Tenerife with a goal in the 120th minute of extra time. Then he eliminated Girona 3:2.

But it was the penalties in the victory over Real Sociedad that will remain long in Murić's memory.

"I will not forget that match for the rest of my life. When we went to the penalty shootout, the coach prepared us to shoot. He started saying the names. After calling them, he told us to rejoice at each name he mentions and celebrate. It calmed me down and I looked up to see the Real Soceidad players. They were looking at us and thinking what were we celebrating about? After that moment, we were winners. I will never forget that moment. We were very calm", declared Muriqi, who emphasized that it is a pleasure to work with coach Javier Aguirre.

"Many times we laugh at him because that's who he is. But when we go to training, his face also changes. He is very serious about training. He knows how to talk to judges, how to motivate us and how to demonstrate the exercises. We are lucky to have such a coach", continued Muriqi.

The Kosovo striker, however, knows that Athletic Bilbao is the favorite to win the final because he has more experience.

Athletic Bilbao has won the King's Cup 23 times, but for the last time 40 years ago.

Meanwhile, Mallorca has only one Copa del Rey trophy, that of 2002/03.

Muriqi congratulated the brothers Inaki and Nico Williams, who are in Bilbao.

"They are airplanes! I have interesting company with Inaki. I talk to him during the matches and we have changed jerseys two or three times. If you don't know how to stop the brothers and you don't pay attention to them, they kill you. But I have faith in my defenders and teammates, they are like walls", says Muriqi.

Muriqi has been asked if he is interested in leaving Mallorca for the Premier Leagues. He denied the speculations and added that he is happy in Mallorca.

Muriqi scored five goals and contributed two assists in the current season with Mallorca. La Liga has it all. But he aims for the first goal in the King's Cup in this edition to ensure his team the major trophy.
