"Celine" brings back the 60s

Hedi Slimane does not hide his fascination with subcultures. Mainly for the 60s.

So this season Slimane referred to the house of Celine and what he calls its "golden age" in the 1960s.

At that time founder Céline Vipiana noted the change in women's rights. The house, which surprisingly started as a children's shoe store in Paris, debuted a luxury ready-to-wear line with a focus on practicality and function: two-piece sets, A-length skirts and, of course, the shift dress. decade.

At the same time, in 1964, Vipiana introduced the first house fragrance, Vent Fou. So it makes sense that Slimane is launching Celine Beauté, the first cosmetics line, 60 years later, alongside this collection.

In this collection, the models wear a subtle nude shade, with the full collection of 15 satin shades available in January 2025.

It is worth noting that during 55 appearances on the show there was not a single pair of pants.

The clothes of Celine's Winter 24 collection presented a reference to breaking the rules of the decade. We spotted a sharp, strapless mini dress, modern in its layered construction, and later a heavily embellished white dress paired with white boots.

Accessories were also polished and refined with the introduction of the small square 'Nino' bag, the wider 'Terence' bag and the 'Garance' bag, a bag for evening essentials.

Celine's long boots and baseball caps were also part of the fashion show.
