The music of Albanian classics for celebration and memory

When the program includes some of those who are considered the pearls of Albanian music, it is known that the audience will not be absent. The festive atmosphere is felt even before the concert starts. The chairs of the Atelier Palace of Youth and Sports in Pristina are few in the face of the great enthusiasm to follow the program. The string orchestra of the Kosovo Philharmonic together with the "New Born" ensemble and the Vocal Octet engaged by the Kosovo Opera have come together to mark the central manifestation of Flag Day, as well as the 111th anniversary of Albania's Independence.

Tuesday evening entitled "Concert with Albanian classics" started with the work of Rauf Dhomi, "Te falemi o dhe" which comes as a celebration, but at the same time a kind of tribute to those who have sacrificed for the freedom and independence of Albanians. With the giant flag in the background, the scene takes on another dimension. The musical colors together with the patriotic tones have made the public, beyond the musical journey through notes, also touch history.

Under the direction of maestro Edon Ramadani, when the soprano Zana Abazi-Ramadani appeared on stage, another stage of the concert was opened. The traditional song "Asaman" was just one of her intros for the public along with "O moj bukuroshe". Then it was the turn of "Dashnor t u bana" composed by Shime Deshpal. Abazi-Ramadan's vocal performance accompanied by the Harkore Orchestra has brought a new spirit to the hall.

Then the soprano moved to more patriotic tones that delve into the history of Albanians. "Longing" composed by Rashid Krasniqi has made the audience enter the world of those who suffer for the homeland and express this through music. To "break" this musical journey a little, "I remember that meeting" composed by Pranvera Badivuku has brought other emotions. Once performed by the iconic singer Nexhmije Pagarusha, this work has evoked ovations. The fine interpretation of Zana Abazi-Ramadan also contributed to this.

"Farewell" with Avni Krasniqi on trumpet and Betim Krasniqi on trombone have returned the immortal composition of Muharrem Qena. The Labe song "Janin's eyes saw" performed by Okteti has opened the chapter of southern Albanian music in the hall. Works such as "Hey you male" by Česk Zade, performed only as a composition by Česk Zade on trumpet with Avni Krasniqi and "Baresha" by Rexho Mulliq with Kaltrina Krasniqi on flute, Shkumbin Bajraktari on clarinet and Gëzim Latif on violin, have made not even the most popular compositions of these parts are left out.

Abazi-Ramadani closed the concert with Avni Mula's "Waltz of Happiness" and "Albanian Dawn" by the same composer. With the works of the Albanian composer from Gjakova, he put an end to the concert, which was a celebration in itself.
