The Balkans knows powers that have analyzed even dreams. They even went to the level of punishing people who saw dreams in which the government was shaken. Conspiracies in parts of Europe range from the simplest to the grandest. Even today, many powers are sliding towards autocracy. Even in European countries with long-established democracies. Neziraj lives in his texts, especially recently, he makes a pamphlet theater. The target is known. But there are also those texts that deal with topics that are elaborated on in principle. He did this with the "Department of Dreams".
In an environment that would be ideal for crazy people - that's what those who are there seem to be - there is a department whose purpose is to analyze dreams. Not on the theories of the Austrian Sigmund Freud, nor for any scientific effect. But as something that can be related to power and eventually to its sway. "Department of Dreams", directed by Besim Ugzmajli, which premiered at the "Dodona" theater, talks about authoritarian powers. The local employees who come through the actors Afrim Muçaj, Ermal Sadiku, Kushtrim Qerimi and Molike Maxhuni seem to be "castrated" by a power that cares about everything. May it be the dreams of the citizens that I govern. It seems tragic how deep they have gone. They are ready to eat each other's heads. But they have the task of analyzing dreams, interpreting them and keeping statistical data.
The world premiere of this show was given in December 2019 in Los Angeles, in the staging that "City Garage Theater" had done.
Poet Naime Beqiraj has said that the play has brought a different reading and experience.
She has distinguished herself as an actor We are approaching Muçaj. These roles suit him. It can be even better in replays. Viewers are left to enter the world of the "Department...", the world of powers that fear even their own dreams.
