UEFA has punished Demiral with a two-game suspension due to the nationalist action.
The footballer is married to the model Heidi Lushtaku, whose surname is now Demiral.
"My husband is not racist," she told Blick.
Heidi grew up in Switzerland, but is originally from Kosovo. She competed for Miss Switzerland many years ago.
