The Government of Kosovo has decided to allocate 100 additional one-time euros for pensioners and also for all children up to 16 years of age.
The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, in a press conference together with the Minister of Finance, Hekuran Murati, said that these allowances are being distributed after good economic performance.
"Dear children, all of you who are between the ages of 0 and 16, and who are recipients of monthly child allowances, will benefit from 100 euros each this year. This is not only a gift of the end of the year from your country, but it is an investment in the well-being of all children without distinction. Therefore, dear parents, raise your children with health but also with love for their country, when the values and the love for the country is forged since childhood, the future of our Republic will undoubtedly be in safe hands. those who contributed and built the state brought us here. Therefore, as we have already made it a tradition that whenever there is sufficient budget and the economy grows beyond the projections, at the end of the year we are allocating additional support to lump sum of 100 euros, or as some have started to call it the 13th pension for all pensioners who qualify. This marks the 5th support within our mandate that such support is distributed to our pensioners", said Kurti.
Minister Murati said they will try to execute the tools next week.
"Like last year, there is no need for any application. We have beneficiary lists in our databases, both for pensioners and child benefit recipients. We will try during this week to make the technical preparations to execute the payments for this week", said Murati.

The former Minister of Finance, LDK deputy, Hykmete Bajrami reacted to the decision on the allocation of allowances.
She called it a "public corruption scheme".
"The distribution of the state budget during the campaign is a scheme of public corruption. The government, whose capital investments in 2024 are lower than in 2017 and 2018, have added the budget to Santa's sack and bought votes. The government which during its mandate has doubled the electricity bills, doubled the property tax, humiliated the civil servants, insulted the trade unions, forced the elite police unit to protest, left the army without bread and the policemen without shoes, has mistreated parents two years in a row with the purchase of books, the government in whose mandate the prices have been increased like never before, today with the money of Taxpayers are trying to buy votes. It's 4 years lost. You're in a panic, but even this scheme can't save you. On February 9, vote for change, not for alms!" - Bajrami wrote on Facebook.
Berat Rukiqi of the LDK also reacted.
"Nothing new. The panicked government continues to use public money to buy votes. This is a blatant misuse of public money, which neither helps nor develops. The same money, automatically, will go to expensive electricity bills", wrote Rukiqi on Facebook.
