According to the Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices (HICP) for April 2026, published by the Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS), monthly inflation was 1.1 percent.

Annual inflation according to KAS is mainly explained by the increase in prices of the following categories: transport (16,1%); housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (15,2%); restaurants and accommodation services (5,8%); food and non-alcoholic beverages (5,6%); alcoholic beverages, tobacco and narcotics (5,1%); health (4,7%); personal care, social protection and various goods and services (3,6%); furniture and household appliances and routine maintenance (3,1%); recreation, sports and culture (3,0%); and clothing and footwear (2,3%).
Meanwhile, price declines are said to have been recorded in the information and communication group (-0,2%) and education (-0,6%).
While the monthly inflation of 1.1 percent is explained by the increase in prices of the following categories: transportation (4,9%); alcoholic beverages, tobacco and narcotics (1,2%); recreation, sports and culture (0,4%); furniture and household appliances and routine maintenance (0,3%); food and non-alcoholic beverages (0,1%); and clothing and footwear (0,1%).
Meanwhile, according to KAS, a price decline was recorded in the group of personal care, social protection and various goods and services (-0,2%).
