It has always been present. His many years of work that he has done all his life has been quite serious", said the painter Valla. He appreciated his colleague and fellow citizen as an artist that he was most attracted to recently.

"He was one of the old-blooded painters who completed his studies in Zagreb. He has been quite active, but lately he has been somewhat more withdrawn", said the painter Esat Valla.

"Being a free artist means that art, science and culture in general will permeate your whole life. Art requires a complete person, a person who dedicates himself to it with his whole being", the painter and academician Haxhikadrija told a local daily when he was announced laureate of the prize of the Association of Figurative Artists of Kosovo.

He said that art must be honest and clear to enter people's hearts.

"The means of life come from work, from deeds. My works are also being rewarded. A few more are being sold. Isn't it a good life when the artist earns nearly 10 million dinars from his works in one year? I think that the broad masses of the people have started to embrace art more than ever. And when art speaks with general languages, when it is universal, when it is clear and sincere, then it enters the hearts of everyone", Haxhikadrija would say.

He was also a participant in the Colony of Figurative Artists of Kosovo in Deçan and Grozhnjan. In 1979, he was a scholarship holder of the Government of France, where he specialized as a painter.

The poet, essayist and translator Mazllum Saneja, in his assessment of the work of the painter Haxhikadrija, wrote that the contrasts of life, human portraits, hidden pains, sufferings, shocks and conflicts of life are revealed in his creations.

"In it, we look at the pious painter, how he remained consistent and faithful to his environment, the reality in which the painting of the man of this three is inherent. It is there that we discover the broad picture of the painter himself: his life and his pain, his constant thirst for life, his boundless love for man, his pure and sincere soul. There we find our man - the inner psychological drama of the man of this three, the oppressed and poor man, but in a free and proud spirit", wrote Saneja about the work of Professor Haxhikadrija.

At the beginning of this century, the exhibition "Vizioni i Ri 2000+" was opened in Gjakovë. It included 38 works, mostly paintings and some graphics that reflected his work over five years of dedication to that exhibition. Journalist Blerim Valla wrote that his works artistically presented his internal concerns related to fate, the sufferings and experiences of the people going through tragic periods.

"With these paintings, Kadrija has gradually begun to immerse himself in the pool of modernist expressions, or in the world of symbolism, abstraction and expressionism. Through rich artistic language, then through the color of colors, especially black, red, white, the art and artistic beauty of Sulejmon Kadri's paintings shines", wrote journalist Valla in "Koha Ditore" about the painter's retrospective exhibition.

The works "Study", "Self-Portrait", "The Old Man and the Light", "The Innocent", "The Peasant's Head", "Flowers", "Portrait of a Woman", "Reclining Act", "Consequences of Power", "Nature dead" are some of the most popular works of the painter Haxhikadrija. Throwing colors in them and more, the painter would build a sensational career as one of the leading artists in the country. The body of Haxhikadria will be buried today (Tuesday) in the city cemetery in Gjakova at 12:00.
