US security chief 'danced happily' after Iran's elimination

Marwayne Mullin

The US national security chief said he "did a happy dance" when Iran was eliminated from the World Cup.

Iran was eliminated from the knockout stage due to goal difference.

Iranians said they were the most oppressed at the World Cup. Iran's training base was moved from the US to Mexico and Iranians face travel restrictions at all times.

Homeland Security Secretary Marwayne Mullin said: "I'm just very happy that they're done and they're not coming back. I was very happy when we were able to revoke their visas and tell them they could leave American soil. I could have sung a song or two, or maybe even done a celebratory dance."

According to the BBC, Mullin said they have been forced to deal a lot with Iran.
