The Bosnia and Herzegovina national team drew 1:1 with Canada in the opening match of the World Cup on Friday night.
Bosnia's main striker, Edin Dzeko, was left on the bench for the match against Canada.
Bosnia coach Sergej Barbarez has revealed the reason why he benched the striker who plays for Schalke 04.
"He has not fully recovered from the injury yet and is suffering from some problems. It depends on how he feels and how our discussions go. I am very open about this because he is very important," Barbarez said, Bild wrote on Saturday.
Dzeko suffered a shoulder injury at the end of March in the playoff final match against Italy.
