The major Spanish newspaper "Marca" has criticized the pitch of the "MetLife" stadium where the World Cup final between Spain and Argentina is taking place.
"The MetLife Stadium pitch is not up to par with the teams playing. Dry, slow, with the ball bouncing. The half-time watering was practically useless. In fact, a member of the Spanish team even tried to direct the sprinkler at the side of the pitch," writes Marca.
