Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has reacted after Portugal drew 1-1 with the Democratic Republic of Congo on Wednesday in their first group stage match.
Ronaldo played the whole game.
"It wasn't the start we wanted, but it's still far from over. Keep your heads up and focus on the next game," Ronaldo wrote on Facebook.
Congo shocks Ronaldo's Portugal
The Congolese national team put in an impressive performance on Wednesday night in Houston, Texas, shocking European football superpower Portugal.
Portugal and Congo drew 1-1 in the first match of Group K.
Cristiano Ronaldo, like Lionel Messi, made his sixth World Cup appearance, but did not leave a mark.
Joao Neves scored for Portugal in the sixth minute, while Yoane Wissa scored for Congo in the fifth minute of first-half stoppage time.
