Midfielder Jude Bellingham has revealed what he said to Lionel Messi during the heated argument in England's 2-1 defeat to Argentina.

Bellingham explained that his discussion with Messi occurred due to a decision by the match referee.

The moment of Bellingham and Messi's discussion was also caught on camera. Messi is even seen surprised by what Bellingham had said to him.

"The conversation with Messi? Actually, we were arguing about a foul. It was nothing serious. I'm sure everyone will make a big deal out of it, but it was nothing," Bellingham explained after the match, reports AS.

"I thought there had been a foul before, and he said, 'What about the one that was called in my favor?' And I said, 'You're strong enough to take it,'" Bellingham added.

The midfielder considers facing Messi a privilege.
