Croatia became only the second team in World Cup history to win two consecutive matches on penalties, after Argentina in 1990. Meanwhile, 33-year-old Subašić became only the third goalkeeper to save four penalties in a World Cup, tying the record of Harald Schumacher and Sergio Goycochea.
