This victory mathematically qualifies them for the 1/8 finals of the World Cup.

"I didn't like the way we started the game and the goal we conceded against Panama, that means we can do even better. "Definitely the team did a lot of things right and after a 6-1 win the criticism seems crazy, but actually I'm not completely satisfied," said Southgate.

"It's strange because we got the maximum possible without playing to the maximum of the possibilities. Against Panama we were very good in terms of performance and people will laugh if I criticize my team today, but even the players themselves know that they have made mistakes and that the World Cup starts now," he concluded.
