US Vice President Mike Pence was present at the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics, but avoided talking to North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un's sister, Kim Yo Jong.
Although they were sitting close to each other, the two representatives of the countries that have strained relations because of North Korea's nuclear program, reports Koha.net.
Pence shook hands with leaders of other countries, including Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, but did not do so with Kim Yong Nam, the top representative of North Korea.
