Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in Finland on Tuesday to talk to senior Finnish officials about military aid, the BBC reports.
In a post on the Telegram social network, the Ukrainian president said he would meet with his Finnish counterpart, Alexander Stubb, Finnish Prime Minister Petteri Orpo, and representatives of the defense industry.
The Finnish presidency has confirmed that the talks will be held at the presidential palace on Wednesday.
The meeting will focus on "military assistance, investments in arms production in Ukraine and Ukraine's integration into the European Union," Zelensky said.
Last week, the two countries signed a new memorandum to strengthen cooperation in the field of defense, which included intelligence sharing, ammunition production, and joint defense projects.
Finland also announced a new military aid package worth 200 million euros to Ukraine, which would increase the country's total aid value to 3.3 billion euros.
