Chinese President Xi Jinping has called the US-China relationship "the most important" in the world.
He made this comment during his speech at the state banquet organized in Beijing in honor of US President Donald Trump.
The Chinese leader began his speech at the state banquet on an encouraging tone, mentioning Trump's "Make America Great Again" campaign.
"The people of China and the people of the United States are both great peoples. Achieving the 'Great Rejuvenation of the Chinese Nation' and 'Making America Great Again' can go hand in hand," he said, referring to a slogan used by the Communist Party and one of Trump's key phrases.
"We can help each other succeed and advance the well-being of the whole world," Xi added.
