The Serbian president, Aleksandar Vučić, said after a meeting with Milorad Dodik, the president of the Serbian entity of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Republika Srpska, that they agreed to quickly organize a meeting of "all state authorities" of Serbia and Republika Srpska.
According to him, the meeting will be held on the territory of Republika Srpska in Bosnia.
"I have listened to President Dodik with great attention regarding all the developments in Republika Srpska and Bosnia-Herzegovina and we have agreed to organize a meeting of all the state troops of Serbia and Srpska, on the territory of Republika Srpska, as soon as possible," wrote Vučić in a post on "Instagram" on July 20.
What preceded the meeting?
The meeting between Dodik and Vučić takes place at the time of increasing criticism of the international factor towards Dodik, mainly due to the statements and actions of the institutions of this entity, which are considered destabilizing for the state of Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Finally, the Government of Republika Srpska has adopted laws for non-implementation of the decisions of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and not to publish the decisions of the High Representative of the international community.
That Dodik's statements are against the perspective of Bosnia-Herzegovina's membership in the European Union, the EU's chief diplomat, Josep Borrell, said on Wednesday.
"The act of leaving the constitutional order must be stopped. Divisive rhetoric, threats of separation, threats to territorial integrity and the glorification of war criminals must be stopped, because there is no place for something like this in Europe", said Borrelli at the fifth meeting of the Stabilization-Association Council, Bosnia-EU.
Dodik's actions were also criticized by the American envoy for the Western Balkans, Gabriel Escobar, in a testimony given before the members of the House of Representatives Committee on Foreign Relations, on July 18.
"Continuous, divisive and undemocratic actions threaten the stability, security and prosperity of the state and the entire region," he said.
Since the outbreak of the latest crisis in Bosnia, President Vučić has largely stayed on the sidelines, saying he does not want to comment on developments there. /REL
