The famous American radio personality Rush Limbaugh has died at the age of 70.
His death was announced by his wife Kathryn Adams, exactly while his show was being broadcast today. He was suffering from lung cancer, writes AP.
Limbaugh has raised his profile in the American conservative movement over the years. Three American presidents have participated in his show while he also won the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2020.
He was known as a controversial and influential figure, expressing racist, sexist and homophobic views throughout his career.
Limbaugh was also one of the most supportive voices of former President Donald Trump, who even decorated him with the highest award in the USA.
