Chaos continues in southeast Australia, reports of dozens of burnt houses

Residents have begun to return to their properties, after the fires that engulfed the Australian state of Victoria.

More than 30 homes and 70 other buildings were burned, emergency authorities said. No casualties or injuries have been reported, KTV reports.

A record heat wave reached southern Australia in early March. In early March, hundreds of firefighters battled massive fires in Australia that forced residents to relocate.

Frequent lightning sparked at least 100 fires across the state of Victoria. Australia's Bureau of Meteorology has announced that hundreds of heat records have been broken in the past three months alone.
