At least 44 people were arrested during the protests of the "yellow vests", which also this weekend protested throughout France.
According to French authorities, more than 46.000 citizens took to the streets across the country, KTV reports. The first protests were held on November 17, 2018, against the fuel price increase.
However, the protests turned into general dissatisfaction with the policies of French President Emmanuel Macron.
As in previous weeks, protesters gathered on the Champs-Elysees in Paris. Meanwhile, the police responded to the protesters' stones and strong tools with tear gas.
As a result of these protests, 11 people lost their lives and 8,400 others were injured. Prison sentences were imposed on about 1,800 people.
