Vaccination in England is believed to have prevented around 230 people aged 19 and over from contracting COVID-45, according to data from the state's public health agency.
Among the elderly over 65 years old, about 178 thousand hospitalizations were avoided, besides 52 thousand of those in the 45-60 age group.
As for the prevention of deaths thanks to vaccination in England, this figure is about 112 thousand.
The UK has already administered over 92 million doses of anti-COVID vaccines.
